TRAINING

Since 1972, Summer Rep Theatre Festival has enrolled over 8000 students who have received advanced training important to their professional goals. These students have gone on to employment with major schools, in the television and movie industry, and in theatres across the nation.

Summer Rep is located on the campus of Santa Rosa Junior College; in the heart of the Sonoma County wine country (1 hour north of San Francisco and 40 minutes east of the beautiful coast). We offer high professional production values, and a positive and supportive work environment. The company also has the advantage of making contact with and working alongside professional staff members and other students from theatres and colleges throughout the country.

Generous scholarships are awarded to all Summer Rep Theatre Festival’s apprentices and interns.

Summer Rep assembles a professional staff that together produces 5 shows in full rotating rep. Successful candidates are working professionals who believe in working closely with students. Directors, designers and staff members work closely with apprentices and interns, providing an unsurpassed educational experience for young theatre artists. Our shops and laboratories are fast paced and professionally run – our ultimate goal is an atmosphere that supports high production values and a positive work environment.
